Ofsted 2024: ‘The school knows its pupils and families well. Parents are overwhelmingly supportive
of the school. They value the school’s approachable staff, who help their children to
thrive.’
Churchstanton Primary School is in a unique rural location, surrounded by beautiful countryside in the heart of the Blackdown Hills. We are in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the edge of the counties of Somerset and Devon, with the school achieving a high reputation within the community and beyond.
We are a rural school with a big heart
Churchstanton Primary School is first and foremost a school where children are happy, confident and enthusiastic learners. Consistently high standards are expected and achieved.
Our school is a member of the Woodland Trust, Green Tree School Awards. A scheme that encourages schools to have a cross-curricular approach to learning with a specific focus on outdoor education. The aim is to inspire children about woods, tree and wildlife.
We have three classes with a total of 73 pupils from Reception to Year 6.
Ofsted rated us 'Good' in all areas with outstanding elements!
